Use Mighty Crimping Pliers to crimp cord onto a clasp securely.
3x3mm Crimp bead
1mm - 1.5mm Cording
Mighty Crimping Tool
Beading Scissors 1-1/4 in. Blade
The crimping tool has two notches in it-the back notch (closer to the handle) and the front notch (further from the handle). The back notch "crimps" the crimp bead and the front notch "rounds" the crimp bead.
Cut your cord to the finished length you want plus 5 inches. Slide your crimp bead onto the cord approximately 2 inches.
Slide your clasp on the cord.
Pass your cord back through the crimp bead.
Place the crimp bead in the back notch of the pliers (closest to the handle).
Squish the crimp bead.
Turn the bead a quarter turn and place the crimp bead in the front notch of the pliers.
Gently squish the crimp bead. This will fold the crimped bead over on itself.
Using sharp scissors, cut off the small tail of cord.
Great! One end of your cord is finished!
Slide your pendant and/or beads on your cord.
Finish the opposite end of your cord just like you did the first side.
Congratulations! You have a finished piece of jewelry!
