The Crystal Katana is a fantastic tool that aids in gluing and placing crystals, bling, rhinestones, or other small craft items. It's perfect for crystallizing, bedazzling, nail art, scrapbooking, mini mosaics, and more. This patent pending Crystal Katana by CrystalNinja was created by award-winning flatback specialist and master user Kellie DeFries and is proven to shave time off the process of hand setting and gluing Swarovski Elements Crystal Flat Backs. It is also an incredibly helpful tool for setting Swarovski Elements Crystal Chatons and Fancy Stones in jewelry clay.
This tool is perfect for Swarovski Elements Crystal Flat Backs and Chatons in sizes SS12-SS40. For sizes SS5-SS9, unscrew the chrome tip to reveal a thinner chrome tip inside. Insert the thinner tip into the larger chrome tip so that it pokes through the bottom. Rescrew the tip on and use normally. To switch back, unscrew the tip and flip the thinner tip so that it points into the shaft of the tool, then rescrew the larger tip.
To use, gently touch the wax tip onto your crystal and then gently touch the crystal to a tiny dot of glue. Do not press hard into the glue. Then, lift the wax tip away. Flip your Katana to the chrome end and firmly press the crystal into the glue for a secure bond.
The black tip is jeweler's wax, so you should never press too firmly or try to remove the tip. If you get glue on your wax tip, lightly wipe the tip with a tissue. Never use your wax tip in glitter or mica powders. If the wax tip becomes misshapen, you can use your fingers to reshape it. Store your Crystal Katana in a cool, dry place.
