Plated Pewter Channel Beads by Nunn Design or another surface on which to adhere the clay

Tip 1	Once you have mixed Parts A and B of the jewelry clay you will have 90 minutes to work with the jewelry clay before it begins to cure.

Step 1

Wearing gloves, mix equal parts A and B jewelry clay together. Knead the jewelry clay with your fingers for four minutes.

Step 2

Use the palms of your hands to roll the jewelry clay into a round ball.

Step 3

Use the palms of your hands to roll the round ball into a cylinder shape to fit around the channel bead.

Step 4

Wrap the cylinder shape of jewelry clay around the channel bead.

Step 5

Gently press the jewelry clay to the edges of the surface that you are adhering it to. Take care to make sure that the jewelry clay is even all the way around the bead core.

Step 6

Once you have positioned the jewelry clay, gently rub your fingertip on the surface to remove any fingerprints or cracks in the jewelry clay.

Step 7

You may now remove the gloves and begin to adhere crystal fancy stones to the surface of the jewelry clay.

Step 8

Use the waxed end of a jewel setter to grab onto the surface of one crystal fancy stone.

Step 9

Press the backside of the crystal fancy stone so that it rests on the surface of the jewelry clay. To remove the jewel setter from the crystal fancy stone, gently peel it away from the crystal fancy stone.

Step 10

Use your finger to press the crystal fancy stone deeper into the jewelry clay so that the widest edge of the crystal fancy stone is even with the surface of the jewelry clay.

Step 11

Repeat steps 8-10 to adhere the desired number of crystal fancy stones to the jewelry clay.

Step 12

Once you have added the desired number of crystal fancy stones, gently press your finger over the entire surface of the jewelry clay as some crystal fancy stones may have loosened during application. If you end up with finger prints in the jewelry clay, you can smooth your finger over the surface of the jewelry clay to remove them.

Step 13

Set the finished piece to cure for 24 hours. The jewelry clay will air dry - do not bake it.

Step 14

Once the jewelry clay has cured, use a Pro Polish Pad to wipe any wax off of the surface of the crystal fancy stones.

Step 15

Congratulations, you have created a bead using jewelry clay, crystal fancy stones and a channel bead!
