Insert a 5-inch piece of 20-24-gauge wire through the hole in the form and bend about a 1/4-inch flat against the back. This will help to hold the wire firmly while working in the front.
Pull the wire up along the rectangular form, then pull it between the small peg and the oval form.
Pull the wire up and around the oval acrylic form, down the right side of the acrylic oval, and along the left side of the acrylic triangle.
Cut the tail end of the wire with flush cutters on the corner of the triangle. Use a file or wire rounder to smooth out the end and remove any roughness.
Remove the ear wire from the form. Add a coil or bead to the straight portion of the wire if desired. Trim the end of the wire to 3/8-inch, and use round nose pliers to make a round simple loop.
Congratulations, you have created an ear wire using a open french ear wire findings form!
