Create a flat peyote stitch piece. We have used size 8 Delica beads. Come up out of the first bead in the first column of your peyote stitch piece.
String three beads. We used size 11° seed beads.
Go down all the way through the adjacent Delica bead
Go up through the bottom of the adjacent Delica bead.
String three size 11° seed beads.
Pull the thread through the bottom of the Delica bead.
Go down through the adjacent Delica bead.
Repeat steps 2–7 until you’ve added a picot along the edge of the entire row.
Pass through the end beads in the second and last rows of the peyote piece.
To end weave through the beads to the end bead in the first column of the peyote stitch piece.
Congratulations! You have now embelished your peyote stitch edge with a picot fringe.
