Ring Sizing Q and A

1. How do I measure my finger to get an accurate ring size?

To get accurate measurements use a strip of paper and wrap it around your finger comfortably. Don’t wrap the paper too tight, by doing so the ring may end up too snug. Mark a line where the ends meet, measure the paper with a ruler and follow the measurement guidelines on our ring sizing chart. You can also use a ring mandrel to measure an existing ring that fits. Just place the ring on the mandrel until it is snug. The ring mandrel will have notches with numbers to easily determine your correct size.

2. Can I use string to measure my finger?

We recommend using a strip of paper instead of string. String tends to stretch and can result in an inaccurate measurement. If you do use string make sure there is no stretch to it.

3. When is the best time to measure my finger so I get the most accurate ring size?

Measure your fingers later in the day and when they are at room temperature. Your fingers tend to be smaller in the morning. Don't measure when your body temperature is either too cold or too hot. When your finger is cold it can shrink and when your finger is hot it can expand.

4. How should I measure my finger if I have large knuckles?

If your knuckles are a lot larger than the base of your finger measure both the base of your finger and your knuckle. Select a size in between the two.

5. How should I measure my finger if I have small knuckles?

If your knuckles are thinner than or as thin as the base of your finger make sure and measure snug so the ring will have less chance of slipping off your finger.

6. Are there different ring sizing charts for men and women?

Men and women use the same ring sizing chart. There is no difference in sizing.
