Love from Texas

by

Being a Texan this bracelet held a lot of charm and a step in to the past due to it's haunting story for me.

The rose window is the finest example of Spanish colonial ornamentation in the United States and was reported to have been made in 1770 by a man named Pedro Huizar. His wife followed him later, but was sadly lost at sea.

The story is that while building the San Jose Mission he designed and made this window in memory of his precious wife Rosa. The story is undocumented, but still makes for a lovely backdrop to this gorgeous bracelet and I predict it becoming most precious to those of us from South Texas.

The designer Lisa Jordan did an amazing job of capturing the beauty and mystery of the window. It lends itself well to many colors and is a delicate reminder of Texas history.

It is easy to learn and can be completed quickly. Each little window is completed then joined to the next window which makes sizing a breeze.

Thank you Lisa Jordan♥
