Step 1

Insert a 5-inch piece of 20-24-gauge wire through the hole in the form and bend about a 1/4-inch flat against the back. This will help to hold the wire firmly while working in the front.

Step 2

Wrap the wire around the large peg until it passes under the small peg.

Step 3

Pull the wire up and around the large acrylic form, down the right side of the acrylic form, and along the left side of the acrylic triangle.

Step 4

Use the pusher tool on the larger peg to push down where the wire overlaps. This will tighten the intersection.

Step 5

Cut the tail end of the wire with flush cutters on the corner of the triangle. Use a file or wire rounder to smooth out the end and remove any roughness.

Step 6

Remove the ear wire from the jig, and trim the starting tail where the wire crosses over itself to create a nice clean round loop.

Step 7

Congratulations, you have created an ear wire using a tall ear wire findings form!
