Follow the pattern using 20-24 gauge wire to quickly and precisely make a stylish and shapely connector finding.
Teardrop Connector Finding Form Jig
Chain Nose Pliers
Lay a 6-inch piece of 20–24-gauge wire across the findings form, with the tail on the left extending about 1/8-inch off the left side of the form.
Hold the tail with your left hand and wrap the wire counterclockwise around the peg at the top.
Pull the wire down toward the bottom of the form and wrap counterclockwise around the next peg.
Wrap the wire around the center peg.
Wrap the wire around the last peg on the bottom.
Bring the wire up and around the left side of the teardrop, and across the top between the point and the peg.
Use the pusher tool to push down on the loops on the bottom to squeeze the overlapped wire together.
Remove the form from the jig. Then hold the center of the connector, and wrap the left wire around the right wire at the top completing one wrap.
Hold the form and wrap the right wire around the top completing one wrap.
Use chain nose pliers to hold the form across the loop at the top. Wrap the right wire again around the top to secure.
Use flush cutters to trim off the two wire ends.
Congratulations, you have created a connector using a teardrop finding form!
