Step 1

Anchor the wire by wrapping around one side of a component three times. We used a hair comb and 5 feet of gold-filled wire.

Step 2

String one bead onto the wire. We used a 4mm crystal pearl bead.

Step 3

Hold the bead onto the wire and measure approximately 1" from the top of the hair comb.

Step 4

The hole of the bead should be parallel with the hair comb. Measure 1" of wire down the other side of the bead.

Step 5

Hold the wire down by the top of the hair comb. With your thumb and forefinger hold the bead and start twisting the wire.

Step 6

keep twisting until the wire is completely twisted down to the hair comb.

Step 7

Bring the wire around the back of the hair comb.

Step 8

Bring the wire back up through the front of the hair comb to secure.

Step 9

String a bead onto the wire. We used a 4mm crystal bicone bead.

Step 10

Hold the bead onto the wire and measure approximately 1/2" from the top of the hair comb.

Step 11

The hole of the bead should be parallel with the hair comb. Measure 1/2" of wire down the other side of the bead.

Step 12

Hold the wire down by the top of the hair comb. With your thumb and forefinger hold the bead and start twisting the wire.

Step 13

keep twisting until the wire is completely twisted down to the hair comb.

Step 14

Bring the wire around the back of the hair comb and back up through the front of the hair comb to secure.

Step 15

To make a cluster at the end of the twisted wire string 3 beads. We used 3mm bicone beads.

Step 16

Hold the beads onto the wire and measure approximately 3/4" from the top of the hair comb.

Step 17

The hole of the top bead should be parallel with the hair comb. Measure 3/4" of wire down the other side of the bead.

Step 18

Put a single twist in the wire right at the bottom of the cluster of beads. This will keep the beads in place. Hold the wire at the comb and start twisting the wire.

Step 19

Keep twisting until the wire is completely twisted down to the hair comb.

Step 20

Bring the wire around the back of the hair comb and back up through the front of the wire comb to secure.

Step 21

Repeat steps 1-8 with random lengths of wire and beads until you have covered the hair comb.

Step 22

To finish the wire wrap the end wire around the side of the hair comb three times to secure.

Step 23

Cut the end of the wire with the wire cutters. Use chain nose pliers to squeeze both ends of the wires tight against the hair comb. There should not be any wires sticking out.

Step 24

Add a small drop of Hypo Tube Cement to the ends of the wire and let dry completely. This will help prevent the ends of the wires from snagging.

Step 25

Congratulations! You have now twisted wire onto a hair comb
