Here are simple tips for adhering a transfer image to the raised surface of a pendant.
Print these instructions
Raised Tag Pendant
Bowl of water
Beading Scissors 1-1/4 in. Blade
13/16 inch Circle Punch
Because transfer images are transparent try using acrylic paint as a background color. Make sure the paint is completely dry before adding the transfer image.
Cut the image slightly smaller than the raised surface to allow the resin to fully cover the edge of the image.
Cut out your desired image from the transfer image sheet using scissors or a coordinating paper punch.
Submerge the transfer image into a bowl of room temperature water. Let soak for a minimum of one minute.
After submerging the transfer image in water the backing will start to seperate from the "film-like" image.
Using your thumb and forefinger slide the transfer image off of the backing slightly. Set the edge of the transfer image face up on the edge of the raised surface.
Continue sliding the backing off laying the transfer completely on top of the raised surface.
Use a Q-tip to press the transfer image onto the raised surface working from the center out. By using the Q-tip you are also getting any trapped water or air out from under the transfer image.
Make sure the transfer image is dry before you add ICE Resin or Diamond Glaze to your pendant. Do not use Amazing Glaze with the transfer images, the heat will melt the film-like transfer image.
