Learn to finish a piece of jewelry using WireLace® ribbon and a 3x3mm crimp bead.
6mm Wire Lace Ribbon
3x3mm Crimp Beads
.014 Soft Flex Beading Wire
Beads approximately 6-10mm
Beads with a big hole
Mighty Crimping Tool
Cut the Soft Flex 2 inches longer than your desired finished length. Cut your WireLace® ribbon twice as long as the Soft Flex. Thread the Soft Flex all the way through the center of the ribbon tube.
Twist the ribbon around the end of the Soft Flex until it comes to a point.
String a 3x3mm crimp bead onto the ribbon.
String one end of the clasp onto the ribbon.
Go back through the crimp bead, creating a loop around the clasp.
Crimp the crimp bead using the Mighty Crimping Pliers.
Use a wire cutter to cut off the excess wire.
Insert a bead into the center of the ribbon.
Thread the bead onto the Soft Flex inside the ribbon.
Slide the bead all the way down to the end of the ribbon.
Twist the ribbon into a point.
Using the point of the ribbon, slide a bead with a larger hole onto the ribbon.
Untwist the ribbon and insert another bead into the center of the ribbon.
Continue repeating this pattern until you have reached your desired finished length.
To finish, twist the ribbon around the end of the Soft Flex until it comes to a point.
String a 3x3mm crimp bead and the other end of the clasp onto the ribbon.
Use a wire cutter to cut off excess ribbon and Soft Flex.
