Begin by anchoring one end of the wire to the filigree by looping the wire up and over a portion of the filigree (in this technique a stem within the design).
Pull the wire up through the filigree.
When pulling the wire taut, it's helpful to loop the wire over a finger and slowly tighten the wire as you pull your finger out. This will help keep the wire from kinking.
Pull the wire taut. The wire should now be anchored.
Add a bead.
Position the bead on top of the stem. Hold the bead in place.
Pull the wire down through the filigree on one side of the stem.
Pull the wire back up the other side of the stem of the filigree.
Again, pull the wire down through the filigree.
Bring the wire back up the other side of the stem of the filigree. This will anchor the wire to the stem.
Add another bead.
Pull the wire down through the filigree.
Pull the wire back up through the filigree, following the stem.
Repeat steps 9 - 13 until you have embellished as much as you want.
To anchor the end of the wire, wrap the wire around the stem of the filigree. The wire should end in the back of the filigree.
Once the wire is anchored, cut the end of the wire with the wire cutters.
Use chain nose pliers to squeeze the end of the wires tight against the filigree. There should not be any wires sticking out.
Congratulations! Continue embellishing the filigree as much or as little as desired.
