Closed gold-filled jump rings are especially strong for securing jewelry elements because the rings are soldered closed into a continuous circle that cannot be opened. They may be used when you are connecting wire wrapped links together and need a strong joint between links. They are also ideal for use as a catch for clasps such as lobster claws and S clasps.
