With a soft-grip handle and used like a hand-held paper puncher, our metal hole punch pliers will punch a hole approximately 1.8mm in diameter in sheet metal up to 18 gauge or 1mm thick. A set of replacement punchers is included. Here’s a handy tip when using a metal punch: Use a Pro-Polish Pad to avoid marring the metal with a circle that can appear around the hole. First, mark the position of the hole on the metal with a permanent marker. Then place the polishing pad under the metal. The pad will cushion the punch while allowing you to clearly see the mark where the hole is intended. Position the lower jaw (the side with the hole) of the pliers over the mark, and make the punch.
