Unlike most seed beads in the FusionBeads.com collection, these U.S.-manufactured seed beads are made of pure metal instead of glass. With a hole size of approximately 1.5mm in diameter, these size 6 round seed beads fit easily onto 16 gauge wire and .024" beading wire. They can be used with any size beading needle and thread as well as a Big Eye needle for use with Superlon bead cord. The hole edges of metal seed beads may be sharp and can cut through beading thread. We recommend using a strong beading thread such as FireLine. As you are weaving, avoid pulling or scraping the thread against the hole edge.
