The silver content of Hill Tribe spacer beads is typically 95-99% silver -- higher than sterling (92.5%). The higher silver content makes the metal softer and therefore easier for Hill Tribe craftspeople to stamp and shape into distinctive, one-of-a-kind designs that have become the unique trademark of Thai silver.
