Fun Portable Loom

by

This is a fun little loom so that I can take my small projects with me.

Surprisingly good!

by

I bought this after a demonstration at a big bead show, and was skeptical, but thought I would give it a try. I also bought a more expensive wooden one. I've used both, and this one is so much more user-friendly, largely because of the grooved ends for the warp threads. And it's so light I can do it while sitting on the sofa , if I prop it against my tummy, and can therefore do it with a bead board and mat, and the angle of sight is perfect. I am glad I have this one to play with, but I will leave looming to others and stick with off-loom weaving. But for those who like looming or want to start or want something for travel, this is a great choice.

Absolutely a great loom

by

Absolutely a great small loom. You can make any loom design up to about 10" long and about 2 5/8" wide. If you are careful with the stringing of the loom, you will be able to pull the warp threads up and have only two cut ends. It's light weight, easy to string (once you've warped/strung it, take out the metal piece before you start beading), easy to hold and use. Comes in two versions: loom and instructions only, or as a "kit" which contains the loom, instructions, 1 needle, 1 threader, and a plastic pouch. The pouch would definitely be handy, but I'm not sure it's worth the additional price. Certainly the needle and threader are not. Your choice.

oops, forgot something--thanks, Fusion!

Thank you to Fusion for putting right up at the top that for size 11's, you use every groove, not every other, as the enclosed instructions have you doing--only later do the directions tell you to string your size 8/0's.
