Product Details -

Renaissance Wax is a fragrance-free, acid-free microcrystalline wax. It was developed for use in the British Museum and is preferred by museums worldwide for protecting furniture, leather, marble, paintings and metal. It can be used on all metals, gemstones, glass, enamel, wood and more. This wax is excellent as a patina sealer. Once applied, the wax protects against tarnish, repels oils, dirts and fingerprints, and is waterproof, alcohol resistant and non-abrasive. The wax will not stain or discolor with aging.

We recommend using Renaissance Wax in a well-ventilated room. People with sensitive skin may want to wear gloves when applying the wax. To use, apply sparingly with a soft cloth and buff gently for a glossy finish. The wax dries hard instantly with no sticky residue. The long-lasting preservation reduces the need for frequent maintenance. In room temperature, with the can firmly capped, Renaissance Wax has a shelf life of many years. It can be completely removed by rubbing with mineral spirits.

A necessity for working with Brass

by

I discovered this first through another supplier. The majority of the pieces I create are made with Brass, some raw & some antiqued. This wax not only restores lost luster within a piece of Brass but, also works to slow down the oxidation process. I use this on so many pieces and I hope to use it forEVER! :D

Perfect for Copper

by

I use Renaissance Wax on My soldered copper for earring hoops and other copper pieces after polishing in a tumbler. It maintains the bright copper shine with allowing it to tarnish 😊
