To make the bottom piece of the movable connector, insert a 5-inch piece of 20-24 gauge wire through the hole in the form and bend an approximately 1/4-inch length flat against the back to help hold the wire firmly while working in the front.
Pull the wire out of the hole to the right side of the peg farthest to the left. Wrap the wire clockwise once around the peg.
Wrap the wire clockwise around the second peg.
Wrap the wire clockwise around the third peg.
Wrap the wire clockwise around the fourth peg.
Wrap the wire clockwise around the fifth peg and pull the wire back up toward the hole in the form.
Use the pusher tool to push down on all of the loops to squeeze the overlapped wire together.
Pull the finding off of the form. Use flush cutters to trim the wire off of both end loops, leaving a simple loop on each side.
To make the top piece of the movable connector, hold the tail of a 4-inch piece of wire off to the left hand side of the form. Bring the wire around the peg on the left hand side and make one clockwise wrap. Then, pull the wire up toward the top of the form.
Make one counterclockwise wrap around the uppermost peg.
Make one clockwise wrap around the right hand peg.
Remove the finding from the form. Use flush cutters to trim the excess wire from the right and left hand loops.
Use chain nose pliers to turn the loops so they are parallel, and open the loops from front to back (not side to side).
Use chain nose pliers to open each side loop on the top finding, and slide it through the end loop of the bottom section.
Congratulations, you have learned to make a movable 5-to-1 connector using a Findings Form!
